In class today we spent some time discussing the failed terrorist attack on Christmas day. Abdulmutallab, the attacker, tried to detonate a packet of PETN that was sewn into his underpants. Fortunately, the attack failed. Unfortunately, the attack revealed to an extent the shortcomings of our international airline security system.
