According to a recent study, the ancient farming technique of “slash and burn” may have destroyed so many forests and put so much carbon dioxide into the air that this may have permanently altered the climate of the earth.
In our class this year we will be discussing where farming first originated, and why farming alone could be considered the most significant development in human history. More interestingly, we will consider theories that claim that much of human history has been determined by the simple reality of where farming first began, which gave certain people a huge advantage over others.

oh i am so looking forward to this in class. i love talking about things like this b/c i am a huge tree huger i love nature and everything in it and i dont think that its fair to nature to polute the air with diffrent toxic chemicals and gas when we dont have to. i think we only do it b/c we can!!
