In class the past 2 days we watched the documentary “Black Gold.”
While watching, we were looking for answers to the following focus question:
If Ethiopia has such a valuable resource in such high demand throughout the world, why is it not more developed than it is?
Write a 500 word essay answering this question. Your essay must include the following:
- Specific details from the Black Gold documentary viewed in class.
- Evidence of independent research examining the current status of Ethiopia and other fair trade issues presented in the film.
- Analyze why LDCs all over the world continue to remain underdeveloped as a result of Fair Trade issues.
